Illustration Friday

'MESSENGER'

A simple drawing, I think birds and messengers relate and sometimes messengers can change the stories they are passing on. That's why I made him look a bit mischievous. I could had put more detail into the drawing and added other things into it to make it more interesting to look at.

'SINK'

I could improve this by adding colour using pencils or paint.

'VANITY'

A simple line drawing as I didn't have many ideas for this word. I could have made this image better by adding colour to develop the idea further.

'SILENT'

A simple sketch as I did it last minute. If I could have spent more time on it I would have added more details and added colour. It is meant to be raining but it is difficult to see without colour.

'STRIPES'

This weeks illustration friday was Stripes, so I chose a Zebra as they are simple and fitting to the word. I sketched the zebra in pencil and then used a graphics pen to go around it and add the word 'stripes' on it's body, while adding extra stripes.

'FUEL'

Don't like this illustration either as I left it to the last minute. the colouring was rushed I didn't have many ideas.

'SCATTERED'

I preferred this without colour and without the writing on the sign posts. I don't really like it because I rushed the colouring.

'CONTRAPTION'

I drew this using a graphics pen, I tried to incorporate different ideas relating to the word contraption. I could have made it better by adding colour and taking more time and effort when drawing each letter and making them all the same size.

'HIBERNATE'

For this idea, I collected leaves and used a sharpie to write each letter on the leaves and took a photo. I played around with the levels of the photo on a computer however, I think I have made the image too dark. To improve this, I should make it brighter and even add to it by incorporating other ideas, such as drawings added through Photoshop or hand draw this instead.
